WHO ARE WE?

An Introduction

For some years now, people have been asking themselves, "Who am I?" In casting off any concept of absolute truth and any commitment to the Word of God, they seem to have lost their self-identity. Confused and lost in a maze of relativistic thinking and subjective reasoning, they are at a loss to even know themselves!

Those who know God through the Lord Jesus Christ know who they are! Their identity is found in their living and personal relationship with God. They realize that they have been created by God, the awesome and absolute ruler of the universe (Genesis 1:26-27). They realize that they have been created again spiritually in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). They have been born of God, thus they are children in His eternal family (1 John 3:1-2). They have been baptized into the body of Christ and now are integral members of this body (1 Corinthians 12:13, 27). Yes, true Christians know who they are!

This web site is an effort to communicate the pure and simple truth to you. We plainly confess that we do not know all of the truth but are continuing to study and examine the Scriptures carefully to discover further aspects of the truth of God (Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17). On these pages we hope to share some of the truths of God that have made an impact on the lives of true believers in Christ. Not only do we plan to make the way to Christ clear, but we also hope to discuss how to live day by day as a true disciple of our Lord.

Generally at this site you will find a leading article that treats a subject current in the news. On the home page you will also note a section on "Questions and Answers" which will seek to give a Biblical answer to questions that may come to your mind. You will further see a section on "Startling Scriptural Statements" in which we comment briefly on the amazing statements of Jesus or the apostles. On these pages you will also find light items such as poems, taken from several sources. You will find quotations and mottoes which state truths succinctly and meaningfully. You will find letters written to the local newspaper (usually they were printed) which discuss items of interest and are Biblically oriented. There are also Bible quizzes which may be printed out for your interest or the benefit of your children.

One of the most important elements of this site is the treatment of Biblical subjects. In the "Biblical Subjects" section, you will find many articles categorized by topic. Another important section is titled, "General Topics."  Here you will find many different subjects, arranged alphabetically.  Our intention is to add many more articles in the future. Some of these articles are short and some are long. Hopefully, all are worthy of study and consideration.

In all of these offerings, we hope to stimulate you to be a true disciple of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! If you are not a follower of Jesus at present, thoughtfully consider His claims and demands on your life. If you have embarked on the way of Christ, we hope that our offerings at this site will encourage you in your walk with Him!
